Following closely behind Warholm, France’s Clément Ducos achieved a significant personal best, finishing second in the heat. Abderrahman Samba from Qatar also put up a strong performance, securing the third spot in the heat.
Meanwhile, Team USA’s Rai Benjamin displayed his prowess by comfortably winning the first heat and advancing to the semifinals. Benjamin's performance has positioned him as a strong contender in the upcoming rounds.
As the competition intensifies, three more heats are scheduled to take place, with the top three athletes from each heat automatically qualifying for the next round. Athletes who do not secure a top-three finish will have another opportunity to compete in the repechage round.
