MYSURU: Malnad districts of the state -- Chikkamagalur, Shivamogga, and Kodagu -- are witnessing a heavy rainfall.
Floodwater has caused damages to properties and farm land in many areas of this region.
All the district administrations are on high alert.
According to the authorities, in Kodagu district, Nalkeri-Srimangala road was blocked for vehicle movement after a local bridge submerged in the floodwater. Minor landslides were reported from Aiyangeri.
In Shivamogga district, a relief center opened in Sagara town after floodwater entered several low-lying areas.

Local MLA H Halappa visited the rain-affected areas and reviewed the situation.
