Williams on lifting Brzeski for a big suplex

“It was just on the fly. Like I said, I just wanted to have fun. I figured if I keep tussling with him too much, he’s probably going to break the hands. He was real good at the hand fighting, so I was like, go up with him. I don’t really like taking people up because it burns so much energy. So, even at practice, I can do it if I want to. I know my strength numbers from working at the P.I., so I know I’m strong enough to do it, but do you want to waste the energy to do it is the biggest thing. Hopefully, you guys enjoyed it.”

Williams on the expereince of his UFC debut

“(It was) everything, and more. I’m sitting in front of all these cameras. People aren’t going to see what I’m seeing, but this is amazing. The crowd, the people backstage, everything in the UFC leading up to this was just wonderful.”

Williams on plan to return to light heavyweight

“Not at all, not at all. That’s why I said the best thing about the UFC is having the P.I. Right after my fight I was staying here to corner Chris Barnett, and I went to the P.I. for a week and did all these tests and different things. I was at 237 thinking I was fat and out of shape. … Then when I went there and did the DEXA scan, they were like, ‘Yeah, you got a lot of muscle, so it’s going to be so hard for you to get down to 205. We can do it if you want to, but we can also build on to what you’ve already done and get your ready for heavyweight.’ So, I took the easy way out. I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s just go to heavyweight.'”
