Britain's worst mum Karen Matthews landed a job as a carer but has left amid a row over her conduct.
The ex-convict – jailed for plotting to kidnap her daughter Shannon – was employed by an elderly couple who took pity on her after meeting at church.
The pensioners paid her to cook and clean after the frail wife had a hospital stay and was unable to care for herself.
But just weeks later Matthews, 43, left as rumours began circulating about her behaviour towards the couple, it is claimed.
The 65-year-old woman is said to have fallen out with Matthews over fears her friendship with her husband was becoming too close.
The man, who is 70, says the relationship was an innocent platonic friendship but confirmed she no longer works for them.

It comes a year after sugar daddy Eric Anderson, 72,admitted showering Matthews with money and gifts and “teaching her about love”.
A source close to the couple who employed her said: “They are devout Christians and took pity on Karen after meeting her at church.
“They know what she did but gave her a second chance.
“They paid her to come round every day to help care for the woman and do the housework. At first, things were great and they were glad of the help in the house but soon things became tense.”
Matthews was picked up by the couple each morning from her two-bed council house and driven 15 minutes to their home.

Her duties included washing, cleaning and tidying. But the wife is said to have become suspicious there was more to it than just friendship.
Pals of the pair say they’ve just returned from a holiday alone in an attempt to rebuild their bond.
Our source added: “He is still trying to do right by Karen and would like to be her friend but she no longer works for them because of what happened.”
Matthews, who has seven children by five dads, was dubbed Britain’s worst mum after she was jailed for her role in Shannon’s kidnap.
The nine-year-old was found hidden under a bed in Dewsbury, West Yorks, 24 days after going missing in 2008.
A police probe found evidence she’d been drugged.
