Kourtney Kardashian said her mum and sisters were devastated that they were forced to miss the fitting run up to her wedding this year due to the defamation lawsuit Blac Chyna filed against the family.
Kris Jenner and her daughters Kim, Khloe, and Kylie faced a $100million lawsuit from the 34-year-old, who had been in an on-off relationship with Rob Kardashian in 2016 and 2017.
The model claimed the Kardashians were responsible for her show Rob & Chyna being cancelled. The Kardashians denied all claims Chyna made and subsequently won the case.
However, the latest episode of The Kardashians shows the family in the closing stages of the court case as Kourtney jets to Italy to prepare for her lavish Italian wedding.
The POOSH owner explained her family had been unable to join her for her Dolce & Gabbana dress fittings due to the ongoing trial in Los Angeles.
After a day spent at the Milan atelier, Kourtney told friends over dinner she had sent photos of her dress to her sisters and mum Kris, adding: “They were all like, ‘We wish we could be there. Blac Chyna's ruining it all’.”
Kourtney’s close friend Simon Huck replied: “The fact that you're not in that trial, to me, is just so Kourtney.
“When I saw all the people lined up, I was like, ‘How is she not there? Of course she's not in this trial’.”
In later scenes in the episode, momager Kris described being ‘mentally, spiritually, physically tired’ after taking the stand in the courtroom.
She told the Hulu cameras: “Tired from the trial. Tired from being in the courthouse all day, every day. Tired of thinking about this. It's just exhausting. It's definitely a two martini day. Maybe three.”
The delivery of the verdict from the members of the jury on the case coincided with the Kardashian/Jenner clan jetting to New York for the Met Gala earlier this year.
As the sisters prepared with their make-up and hair teams in a Manhattan hotel, Kylie and Kim made reference to the looming outcome of the case.
Kylie told the Disney cameras in a confessional: “As amazing and fun as this is, we are in the middle of a trial right now and we are still waiting for the verdict.
“This trial honestly has been very very stressful. We just want it to be over.”
Kim added: “We just obviously want this behind us, so I think we should just focus on the Met and the good times and the big fun sister moment, no matter how it goes.”
The teaser for next week’s episode shows sisters Khloe and Kim preparing to receive the verdict in the next half an hour as they leave the hotel to head to the Met red carpet.
The Kardashians season two is streaming on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.
