Karamoko Dembele in Celtic departure option as Ligue 1 club 'well placed to welcome' Hoops starlet

Karomoko Dembele is a reported target for Ligue 1 club Stade Brestois 29 as a decision on his Celtic future awaits.

The winger is now out of contract at Parkhead after an injury-hit season again limited his ability to make his way onto the senior scene.

He was previously linked with Serie A club Lecce but now the French team commonly known as 'Brest' have seemingly entered the fold.

It's reported that they are 'well placed to welcome him' over to France, with it going on to say the French outfit are 'one of the options studied for his future.'

Dembele has long been tipped to be one of the next big things to breakthrough at Celtic after time in their academy but has only made 10 senior appearances.

Just 20 minutes of competitive action beckoned for him under boss Ange Postecoglou last term but he did earn game time in their Lowland League 'B' team.

Lecce director of football Pantaleo Corvino previously said he had held talks with the 19-year-old kid over a move.
