It's certainly been a weekend that will live long in the memory of Arsenal fans for a multitude of reasons. The Gunners missed out on their primary transfer target this month as Mykhailo Mudryk joined Chelsea after months of protracted negotiations. It's no secret that Edu was keen to bring in the Ukrainian but ultimately the club felt they had to protect their long-term interests.
They recovered quickly though to secure a superb 2-0 victory over Tottenham in the North London Derby. The win leaves them eight points clear at the top of the Premier League.
With all that going on and just two weeks left of the January transfer window, it felt like the perfect time for a Q and A about all things Arsenal with our chief Gunners correspondent Kaya Kaynak. Here football.london takes a look back at the highlights.

Q: The market clearly seems to be inflated in January. With ESR back and Nelson to hopefully return before Jesus, could we push off permanently signing a good winger to the summer and instead get someone on loan for this season?
KK: I think Arsenal have generally been reluctant to go for short term solutions, but the fact that they were willing to go for Joao Felix on loan suggests that they haven't ruled out those types of deals.
Q: Why is their reported interest in Ivan Fresneda? We already got White and Tomiyasu and then there's also Norton-Cuffy rising through the ranks who looks like a solid prospect.
KK: There is a possibility that Cedric could go this January and Arsenal are keen not to be caught short in terms of depth like they were last season. Fresneda would certainly be one for the future but the fact that he's an inverted full-back suggests he's the type of player Mikel Arteta likes. Arsenal are interested, so he's definitely one to keep an eye on.
Q: With the situation between Trossard and Brighton, do you think that it is impossible for Arsenal to push a transfer for Mitoma? Might be a bit biased, but I think he'll be a great option for Arsenal.
KK: There are people at Brighton who have told me they think Mitoma is the next big star they'll turn for a profit. Brighton are masters of the transfer window though and as we've seen with the Ben White deal, they won't sell for less than a player's worth. Mitoma would likely cost a lot at the moment and with Trossard's situation I can't see Brighton wanting to sell. On top of that I still think Mitoma needs a bit more top flight experience before he's ready to come to a club like Arsenal. Certainly one to watch though.
Q: Could Arsenal make a move for Wilfried Zaha this month? He is out of contract in the summer, PL proven and Crystal Palace probably won’t ask for too much money.
KK: I'd have to say I'm not sure Palace would be willing to accept minimal money for Zaha. Although Vieira has done a good job at Selhurst Park he's still comfortably their best player. Losing him would be a massive blow for Palace so they'd want to get as much as money as they can. On top of that Zaha is likely to command big wages, which combined with his age profile would make him an unlikely deal. Never say never though!!
