Kanye West ’s erratic behaviour is reportedly bringing Kim Kardashian and new boyfriend Pete Davidson closer together.
The former couple split in February 2021, when the SKIMS founder filed for divorce after months of speculation surrounding their marriage, and it looked like Kim and Kanye were keeping it civil for the sake of their four kids - North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
However, the Stronger hitmaker has caused drama in recent weeks, after Kim began a surprise new relationship with Saturday Night Live funnyman Pete.
The pair hit it off when the 41-year-old made her hosting debut on the hit US sketch show in October, and have been inseparable ever since, enjoying cosy dates in Pete’s native Staten Island, as well as a romantic trip to the Bahamas last month.
Despite dating actress Julia Fox, Kanye has been allegedly spreading unfounded rumours about Pete, 28, including claims he is gay, is on drugs, and has AIDS - and even mentioned fighting his ex-wife’s lover in a new track.
“God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a*s,” Kanye raps in Eazy.
Mum-of-four Kim now wants her estranged husband to move on, as she’s “really happy” with her new beau, and the drama is just bringing her and Pete closer together.
“Kim truly wants Kanye to be at peace with their marriage being over and find happiness, whether it’s with Julia [Fox] or someone else, so they can focus on raising their children together in a more positive way,” an insider told Page Six.
"She’s remaining quiet over the drama for the sake of their children, and is worried how Kanye’s remarks and behaviour will affect them in the future.
“She is worried about how all of these things that are being played out so publicly on Kanye’s end will affect their kids in the future and feels that any issues should be resolved privately.”
The Yeezy designer, 44, has been making headlines with new muse Julia in an effort to “make Kim jealous”, according to Marie Claire.
His efforts to win back his wife have failed, despite the couple pretending to renew their vows during one of his listening party gigs last year, and Kim is firmly set on moving on after their split.
And in December, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s lawyers asked California judges to make her “legally single” amid her divorce from Kanye.
