Kanye West has vowed to seek help after causing distress to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian following months of public outbursts against the reality star and her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
Since the start of the year, it has appeared that 43-year-old Kanye – who now goes by the name Ye – has been increasingly frustrated that 41-year-old Kim ditched him and started dating 28-year-old Saturday Night Live star Pete.
The rap sensation has taken aim at his former wife – who he married in 2014 and the pair revealed they would be getting divorced last year – through his music and via explosive social media posts.
But now Ye, who has struggled with bipolar disorder, is said to have vowed to ‘go away and get better’ after he made a string of accusations about Kim – who is the mother of his four children.
A source told PageSix: “At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is and focused on raising their beautiful children.
“For the sake of the kids, Kanye has told Kim he's not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements, and he will go away somewhere to get better.”
However, the source added: “It wasn't clear if West planned to go into a treatment facility, as he has stayed in Los Angeles to be with his and Kardashian's four kids.”
Together, Kim and Kanye are parents to eight-year-old daughter North, six-year-old son Saint, four-year-old daughter Chicago and two-year-old son, Psalm, from their seven year marriage.
Reports that Kanye is to “get help” have come after details emerged that Kim is planning to ditch West from her last name and move her businesses away from being associated with her failed marriage.
The mother-of-four explained that she was closing down her KKW Fragrance brand – which is named after her Kim Kardashian-West initials.
She revealed the news in a social media post on Friday, telling fans: "On May 1st at midnight, @KKWFragrance will be shutting down the website so that we can relaunch fragrance in the future under a brand new name.
"...And under a new web store where you can purchase from all beauty categories under one site."
She continued: "Fragrance as many of you know is deeply personal for me.
"I put my heart and soul into every bottle, and I'm so incredibly proud of every KKW Fragrance product and collaboration that we have launched since Crystal Gardenia in 2017."
Kim added: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your loyalty and love these last few years.
"I cannot wait to introduce you to the next chapter of my fragrance journey—I promise I won’t be gone for too long.
"In the meantime, enjoy 40% off sitewide until supplies last. With Love Always, Kim."
Responding to the news, fans appeared to approve, with one writing in the comments of Kim’s post: "Yes get the WEST out of the brand! Smart gworl."
While another wrote: "West is out the doorrr" – and a third told her: "Take ur name back!!! Yes!! Girlboss!!!"
