Kanye West has implied that his wife Bianca Censori’s barely-there transparent dress overshadowed winners at the Grammys 2025.
The Australian model, 30, attended the awards show in Los Angeles on Sunday night with her husband rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.
Appearing on the red carpet in a fark fur coat, Censori left nothing to the imagination as she dropped the garment to reveal her exposed backside to the flash of the cameras.
The stunt sparked outrage on social media, with people blasting it as “creepy” and “disturbing”, while others slammed West for his exploitative behaviour.
But the controversial rapper appeared to justify his actions on Tuesday, sharing a post on his Instagram which implied that his wife’s stunt had overshadowed the winners at the awards show.
West posted an image of the Google Search Analytics for the US in the last day, revealing more people had searched for “Bianca Censori grammys” than “Grammy winners 2025”.
Beyoncé scooped up ‘Album of the year’ at the award show for Cowboy Carter, while Kendrick Lamar won ‘Song of the year’ for Not Like Us.
Chappell Roan, who soared to fame last year following the release of her single Good Luck, Babe, scooped up ‘Best new artist’.
Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter took home two awards for ‘Best pop solo performance’ and ‘Best pop vocal album’.
According to a lip reader, West was very much in control of the drama that unfolded, and could be seen whispering something to his other half moments before the reveal.
Nicola Hickling, head analyst at Lip Reader, claimed West was encouraging Censori. "You're making a scene now,” West allegedly said after initially praising her, prompting Censori to silently nod her head.
He continued in his encouragement, telling her to "Make a scene, I'll say it'll make so much sense," reports the Mirror.
Censori again nodded in agreement, before West instructed her to "Drop it behind you and then turn, I got you."
"Alright let's go," Censori responded, as interpreted by the lip-reading expert.
Following the shock appearance, reports emerged that the rapper and Censori had turned up uninvited, and were escorted out by cops after their “crazy stunt”.
