Kanye West has hired American Apparel founder Dov Charney as the new CEO of Yeezy, according to reports.
The 45-year-old rapper is thought to planning "a career comeback" after he was dropped by fashion brands including Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga following his series of offensive racist outbursts.
Kanye, legally known as Ye, claimed to have lost $2billion (£1.6billion) in one day after his major partnerships were ended.
Now, he is reportedly trying to keep his Yeezy brand alive and is thought to have enlisted the help of disgraced businessman Dov.
The 54-year-old was fired by the American Apparel board in 2014 after he was accused of a number of failings, including violating the company's sexual harassment policy and misusing company money.
He has denied the allegations and was never found guilty of committing sexual harassment.
Dov seemingly has a new job now, after Kanye reportedly hired him.
"Ye has hired Dov Charney as the new CEO of Yeezy LLC. It is definitely a risky move with the allegations against him, but Ye supports him and knows what it's like to be cancelled," a source said.
"Dov has been a friend, a fabric supplier, he's also produced T-shirts as well as mass production of the new Yeezy line, which was unveiled recently at a low-key event.
"He's been by Ye's side for years - before he was cancelled, throughout the drama, and now after as he sets to stage a comeback," they told The Sun.
It has not been confirmed whether Dov has formally signed a contract at this point.
After being fired by American Apparel, the businessman went on to found Los Angeles Apparel in 2016, which grew ti more than 350 staff during the second year of operation.
Dov has previously teamed up with Kanye as he manufactured the rapper's controversial White Lives Matter T-shirts which debuted at Paris Fashion Week.
According to Rolling Stone, Dov had been planning to release the T-shirts via his company but pulled out following intense backlash.
Instead, they were reportedly handed out to homeless people.
