Kanye West deleted his strange ‘Pete Davidson dead’ newspaper post after ex-wife Kim Kardashian became “incredibly upset”.
The bizarre Instagram post depicted a fake New York Times front page with the headline ‘Skete Davidson Dead At Age 28’.
American rapper Ye, also known at Kanye West, shared the distasteful image came after the news that his ex Kim had broken up with Pete.
The mum-of-four started dating the Saturday Night Live comedian in October, with the actor tattooing her name on his body to show his love for her.
However, the couple have now ended their relationship after nine months and will 'just be friends' going forward.
Kanye took to his social media to celebrate the news, sharing the now-deleted post.
A now reveals that Kim was “livid” and “incredibly upset” by her ex-husband's public reaction to her breakup with Pete.
“Kanye is back to his old ways and Kim will not tolerate his bullying behaviour towards the people she loves and cares about,” a source close to the Skims founder told Page Six.
“Kim and Kanye have been in such a positive co-parenting space and with communication lately. Kim even was happy to support Kanye and do the Yeezy shoot and post for him.
“This is just a reminder to her that he will never change and why there will never be a chance of reconciliation.”
Another insider close to the Kardashians said Kim will “always protect Pete” no matter their relationship status.
They said both Kim and Pete both have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.
Kim and Pete were in “very different places at the moment,” the another told Page Six.
“Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice, but Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”
In June, meanwhile, Kim revealed in an episode of The Kardashians how their love story came about.
"So, this is how it went down with me and Pete," the Hulu star began.
"I did Saturday Night Live and then when we kissed in a scene it was just a vibe. I was like, 'Oh s***. Maybe I just need to try something different.
"But Pete does not come to my afterparty and everyone was at my afterparty.
“He is not giving me the time of day. So, a few days later I called the producer at SNL and was like, 'Hey do you have Pete’s number?' I text him."
