Kanye West has defended 'burying Pete Davidson alive' in the controversial music video for his song Eazy.
The Homecoming rapper, 44, released the music video on March 2 and has been receiving a lot of backlash over the burial of the stop-motion claymation version of Pete.
He has been constantly slamming the Saturday Night Live comedian online and even called the star a 'd***head' on Instagram after he coupled up with Kim Kardashian.
Ye took it to the next level when he released the Eazy video.
Captioning an illustration of a church on fire on Instagram, he said: "Art is therapy just like this view."
"Art is protected as freedom of speech. Art inspires and simplifies the world. Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm.
"Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended."
He didn't specifically name the track, which features The Game, in his post.
The song mentioned the King of Staten Island actor, who has been dating Ye's ex-wife Kim, by name.
"God saved me from this crash / Just so I could beat Pete Davidson’s ass," the rapper says on the song.
The music video has the cartoon Kanye kidnap Pete before the comedian is decapitated and buried alive.
"Everyone lived happily ever after," a title card in the video says. "Except You Know Who."
Ye's nickname for the star, Skete, was crossed out after 'except'.
Following the release of the clip, which is now deleted from his Instagram, the Stronger rapper received a lot of criticism from worried fans.

One Twitter user wrote: "Oh my God! Kanye west release a video which show He Buries Pete Davidson Alive, Kanye west video is actually disturbing, pete Davidson needs to sue and file a restraining order."
Another agreed, writing: "Have u guys seen the eazy kanye west music video it is disturbing. i hope pete has a lot of security guards cos he needs extra at this point."
Earlier that same day, Kim changed her name from Kardashian-West back to just Kardashian after a motion was granted by a judge at Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The reality star, who appeared by videolink at her hearing on Wednesday, made the request for the legal change in December.
She was reportedly upset over the clip.
"Kim thinks it's way too violent and is upset," a source told PEOPLE.
"She's really upset with Kanye that he'd do this. She's completely over all of this and she wants it to stop."
