Kanye West blasted for 'disgusting' KKK-style outfit and swastika necklace

Kanye West has sparked outrage by wearing a black Ku Klux Klan-style outfit and a swastika necklace during a controversial interview.

The rapper, 47, wore a necklace with a swastika medallion and a T-shirt designed by disgraced rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs while chatting to DK Akademiks on Rumble.

The musician then changed into a black robe with a pointed hood associated with the white supremacist organization, the KKK, and claimed he had the outfit custom-made along with an identical white one.

West said he had wanted to wear the robe in public “yesterday” but was worried people would “put me in a hospital for my outfit”.

Critics flooded social media to blast him for the “disgusting” outfit and said it was “sad to see”.

Kanye West actually disgusts me. Why would you wear a f**king KKK outfit to a INTERVIEW. Jesus Christ I don’t know how y’all say he’s your goat anymore,” one raged on X.

“To say that I’m disappointed in Kanye West is under the false perception that I knew who he was. This is just sad to see. F**k ya accolades, this is who you always been,” another wrote.

“Hard to take Kanye seriously when he's out here looking like a black KKK member - we all know it's him under that hood,” a third posted.

“Why is he wearing that?! FFS,” someone else commented.

Another user penned: “As if the swastika tee wasn't toxic enough, now Kanye West is now decked out in a black KKK Robe and hood.

“Surely, he must be aware of how this attire was used against Black people to instill fear and hate, yet he wears this costume with pride in his attempt to garner attention.”

The Standard has contacted West’s representative for comment.

West has worn the KKK-inspired hood at several events over the years. In 2022, he made several anti-Semitic remarks that led to him being dropped by fashion brands like Adidas and Balenciaga.

During his latest interview with DJ Akademiks, the Donda rapper said he regretted having children with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

“That was my fault. I didn't want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with her, but that wasn't God's plan,” he said.

West and Kardashian were married for six years from 2014 to 2021 and share four children - North, 11, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, five.

Elsewhere in the interview, he defended his “twin” Diddy amid the accusations of sexual assault against the rapper.
