An arrest warrant has been issued for a Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, following his alleged involvement in a car crash on a Texas expressway last month. The 23-year-old receiver, identified as Rashee Rice, is facing charges that include aggravated assault, collision involving serious bodily injury, and multiple counts of collision involving injury, as confirmed by the police.
The incident occurred on March 30 on North Central Expressway in Dallas, where Rice was driving a Lamborghini and another individual, Theodore Knox, was driving a Corvette. Both drivers were reportedly speeding, lost control of their vehicles, and collided with four other vehicles, resulting in injuries to four individuals.
The NFL has been monitoring the situation closely, with a league spokesman stating that they are keeping track of the developments in the case. Rice, in a statement on Instagram, expressed remorse for his actions, taking full responsibility for his role in the crash.
Rice's lawyer, Royce West, confirmed that his client admitted to driving the Lamborghini during the incident and has been cooperative with the authorities.
