Kangaroos pair accept AFL suspensions

Jason Horne-Francis will miss the Kangaroos' next two games after he was cited in the loss to GWS. (AAP)

North Melbourne won't challenge AFL suspensions to rookie Jason Horne-Francis and Lachie Young.

Horne-Francis has been banned two games for striking and Young will miss one match for rough conduct after both were cited during the Kangaroos' loss to GWS on Sunday.

Horne-Francis, the No.1 pick at last year's national draft, was charged with striking Giant Josh Kelly in an act deemed by the AFL's match review officer Michael Christian as intentional, medium impact and high contact.

Christian graded Young's rough conduct on the Giants' Matt de Boer as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.

The Kangaroos pair have both made early guilty pleas, the club said on Tuesday.

Both will miss the Roos' next game, after their mid-season bye, against Adelaide on June 26 with Horne-Francis also to be out for his club's following clash against Geelong.

Horne-Francis made contact with Kelly after the GWS star had kicked the ball forward, resulting in a down-field free kick.

The South Australian, in his first season of a two-year deal, has put off any talks with the Kangaroos about extending his deal beyond next season.
