Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign in Arizona is expanding its presence in the state by opening a new field office in south Tucson. This strategic move comes as the presumptive Democratic nominee aims to engage and appeal to Latino voters in the region.
The campaign, which already has an office in the Midtown neighborhood, is set to launch its south Tucson office in the near future. Tucson Mayor Regina Romero expressed the campaign's commitment to investing in the Latino community, emphasizing the importance of allocating resources to support this demographic.
Having recently launched, the Harris campaign has taken over the dozen Biden campaign offices spread across Arizona. With over 80 full-time staff members retained from the previous campaign, the team is well-equipped to carry out its outreach efforts effectively.
Mayor Romero highlighted the significance of southern Arizona in securing victory in the state and ultimately reaching the White House. She emphasized the enthusiasm and voting power present in southern Arizona, underscoring its potential to play a pivotal role in securing Arizona for Vice President Harris.
