Kamala Harris Campaign Raises Record 0 Million In Donations

Kamala Harris address public gathering

Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign has made history by raising an impressive $540 million since its launch slightly over a month ago. This fundraising total sets a new record for any campaign within this timeframe, as confirmed by Harris' team.

The campaign experienced a significant surge in grassroots donations during the recent Democratic National Convention, amassing a remarkable $82 million. Following Harris' impactful speech on the convention's final night, the campaign witnessed its most successful fundraising hour since its inception.

Notably, one-third of the donations received last week were from first-time contributors, with two-thirds of them being women. The most common occupations among donors were found to be in the fields of teaching and nursing, reflecting a diverse and engaged supporter base.

In addition to the substantial financial contributions, the campaign also achieved a milestone in organizing efforts, with close to 200,000 volunteers signing up for shifts in the past week alone.

Describing the DNC as a 'galvanizing moment,' Harris' team emphasized the energizing effect it had on volunteers and grassroots supporters. Despite this momentum, the campaign remains focused and committed as the election draws nearer.

Looking ahead to Labor Day, the campaign aims to capitalize on its momentum by intensifying voter outreach efforts and maintaining consistent communication with battleground voters until Election Day. The campaign contrasted its approach with that of President Trump, highlighting a dedication to engaging with voters rather than resorting to online controversies.

To further bolster their presence in key battleground states, Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, are set to embark on a bus tour in Georgia. This tour will kick off with a rally in Savannah, where Harris will directly address Georgians on the critical issues at stake in the upcoming election.
