Kalvin Phillips has lifted the lid on the initiation that Manchester City's new summer signings went through in front of their new teammates during their pre-season tour of the United States.
As has become a staple tradition of joining a club, new additions often have to sing an 'initiation song' soon after making a move in the transfer window as they are welcomed into the team. Joining the Premier League champions is no different as Phillips disclosed the song choices that City's new stars opted to belt out as they sat down for a group meal after training.
City have spent big on their new recruits this window due to their talents on the pitch. But the former Leeds player revealed that this star-studded teammates also have skills away from the world of football.

The English midfielder was talking to Sky Sports as he described how much fun everyone had as they enjoyed some good food while also taking part in some light-hearted entertainment designed to bond the team.
He said: "I did my initiation song for the first time yesterday in front of the whole Man City lot. It was quite good, I was voted the best singer which isn't too bad.
"I sang George Ezra, 'Budapest' — I'm not really a singer, I actually was just practicing all day in my room and everyone else must have just thought I sounded good, which I didn't.
"To be honest, I wasn't too nervous about it, I just wanted to get it over and done with."
City's new midfielder then went on to talk about some of the other song choices that were on display and revealed that Blues' new striker Erling Haaland had everyone up on their feet.
He added: "He sang Enrique Iglesias, 'Hero'. He went for it, but he was actually really, really good."
" Julian [Alvarez], sang 'Despacito', which was nice, had a good vibe to it. He was a little bit stiff but obviously he was a little bit nervous as well."
Phillips then explained how City's new German goalkeeper Stefan Ortega arguably got the 'crowd' going the most, saying: "Stefan was really good, he had his top off and was swinging his top round his head and everything.
"There were some good songs — it was a good night as well because we had some good food and just a good time together".
