Kalvin Phillips has admitted that despite the fact that it has been "very difficult" at Manchester City following his exit from Leeds United in the summer transfer window, he does not regret the move.
Phillips has only played a total of 344 minutes for Pep Guardiola's side since joining Man City at the beginning of this season. His move from Elland Road has seen him hampered with both injury and poor form that has left him firmly behind Rodri in the club's pecking order.
It is not a new phenomenon for players to struggle to adapt to life at the reigning champions following a move, with the likes of Jack Grealish, Joao Cancelo (although no longer on the books this term) and many others taking time to get up to speed under Guardiola.

Yet Phillips has undeniably struggled to get to grips at his new club since he left Leeds and the former Whites man has now revealed that despite the fact he knew his playing time would be limited at Man City, he does not regret his decision to join them.
“It’s been very difficult to be honest," he told the Premier League's official YouTube channel. "I knew as soon as I came into the team that I wasn’t going to be playing week-in week-out.
"I was going to have to build my way in and even now I’m still at that stage of building myself into the team. I’ve enjoyed it a lot and I’ve learnt a lot as well from the players and the manager, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made."
