Kalvin Phillips' message to Leeds United supporters after 119-day absence

Leeds United fans welcomed Kalvin Phillips back to playing after the midfielder posted a message on social media about his absence.

Phillips has not played for Leeds United since December last year due to a hamstring injury. However, he managed to get nearly half an hour on the pitch as a substitute in today's 1-1 draw with Southampton.

Leeds went one up thanks to a goal from Jack Harrison, but James Ward-Prowse equalised. Phillips then came on for Mateusz Klich after 66 minutes and though he was unable to push for victory, he was a reassuring presence.

Fans responded warmly to the tweet, with @hannahvsparks saying: "So happy seeing our boy back on the pitch!"

Leeds play Watford next Saturday. No doubt fans will be hoping that Phillips can start.
