Kai Havertz has insisted he would pay for his own travel to away matches amid the ongoing situation at Chelsea right now.
Following Roman Abramovich being added to the UK government's sanction list last week, Chelsea are now restricted to paying a maximum of £20,000 on travel to away fixtures. However, Havertz thinks the players at the club would have no problem in paying that themselves and confirmed he would definitely do so.
"I would pay, it's no problem," the German said in the pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to France to take on Lille tomorrow. "That's not a big deal for us.

"For us to come to the games, that's the most important thing. I think there are a lot of harder things in the world at the moment if we have to take the train or the bus to an away game. I would pay. It's no problem."
With Chelsea taking on Lille on Wednesday evening, holding a 2-0 advantage going into the second-leg, it's crucial the Blues players do not become distracted with the chaos off the pitch. Havertz has insisted that everyone is remaining professional about the situation and their attention is firmly on booking a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The 22-year-old added: "I think we are all professional footballers. Everyone knows it's a strange situation for everyone in the club right now, but we are the players, we have to focus on playing football, on the matches, that's the best we can do.
"All the other stuff, the club has to sort out by themselves, that's not up to the players. I cannot talk about it too much because we are focused on the games and that's all we can do at the moment.
"It's not easy. I think such a situation has not happened at Chelsea before, so it's a little bit strange, but we are professionals and sometimes situations like this can happen. It's not easy for us all, especially for the whole club, the fans, everyone.
"The best we can do is play good football, try to give the fans a smile. In these sort of situations, everything is tough for us. As we saw at the weekend, we can handle these situations and hopefully tomorrow as well."
Havertz has now bagged five goals in as many games in all competitions for Chelsea. The Germany international is arguably playing his best football at Stamford Bridge since making the £71million move from Bayer Leverkusen just under two years ago.
Despite this, the youngster is determined to keep improving under Thomas Tuchel. He said: "It's hard to say [if he is playing in his best position]. I'm in a good run, I've played some good matches so I'm happy about my performances in the past few matches. As a footballer, you're always hungry and you want more, so I hope I can play with a lot more consistency."
