Juventus to hold talks with Paulo Dybala 'in days' and more Man City transfer rumours

Juventus will begin contract talks with Paulo Dybala soon amid rumours linking him with a move to Manchester City.

The Argentine has been touted as a possible option for Pep Guardiola this summer as the City boss looks for a new striker. Tottenham have also been tipped to make a move for the 28-year-old.

Dybala is set to be out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to agree a new deal with Juventus, triggering rumours he could be on his way out of Turin. Negotiations so far have proven fruitless from the Italian giants’ side.

More meetings are reported to be taking place soon though, with Dybala said to have not given up on the prospect of staying in Italy. Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini has told Calciomercato (via Inside Futbol ) the club will meet with the player over the next few days.

“The issue of his renewal has been dealt with several times. In the next few days, we will meet not only him but other players in the squad who have expiring contracts.”

Elsewhere, City could be closing in on the signing of Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Pereira amid reports a proposal has been submitted. Sister club New York City could potentially be involved in the transfer.

Reports in Brazil have suggested the City Football Group are keen on a move for Pereira. Globo Esporte claim an offer submitted to Corinthians has ‘pleased’ the club, which could lead to them accepting a bid in the coming days.

Due to the European transfer window currently being closed, it’s suggested Pereira could head to New York City first as part of the deal, before potentially making the move to the Etihad.
