Juventus Terminate Paul Pogba Contract As Star Nears Return

Juventus have terminated the contract of Paul Pogba, meaning the Frenchman will be a free agent when he returns to football in March 2025.

Juventus Terminate Paul Pogba Contract

The Serie A side have decided to cut ties with the French superstar, as the 31-year-old prepares to return to training in January 2025 and matches in March.

In September 2023, the former Manchester United midfielder was provisionally suspended after testing positive for a banned substance and was later handed a four-year suspension in February this year.

However, in October this ban was reduced to 18 months after further investigation and the 18 months would start from the original date meaning he can return to professional matches in March.

Despite this, Pogba will not be returning to the side that he started this ban with, as Juventus have released a statement over the termination of his contract.

The statement says: (Via Juventus): “Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement for the termination of their contract as of 30 November, 2024. The club wishes Paul the very best for his professional future.”

His return to Juve did not go according to plan, making just eight Serie A appearances and contributing to zero goals in the process.

Who Will Paul Pogba Join Next?

The 2018 World Cup winner is now on the radar of several clubs, with many pushing for a move to Saudi Arabia given how far the league has progressed in recent years.

His fellow countrymen, Karim Benzema, N’golo Kante and Moussa Diaby have all obtained lucrative deals in the Saudi Pro League and may persuade Pogba to follow suit.

A move in Europe could also be on the cards, as Pogba spoke in a recent live stream online about his love for Manchester United but also his admiration for Arsenal.

His next step could prove crucial after being handed a second chance in football and Pogba will also be looking at the 2026 World Cup as an objective.
