Juventus are set to offer midfielder Adrien Rabiot in an attempt to land Chelsea metronome Jorginho in the summer, according to reports. The Italian has been heavily linked with a return to the Serie A with the Bianconeri.
The 30-year-old is out-of-contract at Stamford Bridge in 2023, leaving the Blues with a decision to make over his deal in the coming months to avoid losing him on a free transfer. That decision isn’t made easier by the fact that the club cannot currently extend deals under their sporting licence, as a result of sanctions placed on owner Roman Abramovich.
Speaking to Calciomercato, Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, revealed he was aware of interest from Juventus. He said: “I haven't talked to Juve, but I know of their interest in Jorginho. We have a contract with Chelsea until 2023 and it is a particular moment for the club, where there are no negotiations, also because the market is blocked both in entry and in exit. If the situation unfolds, the priority will be to deal with the renewal. Should Chelsea fail to renew their contract, then we will listen to all the teams involved."

Jorginho has been a regular at Stamford Bridge since joining from Napoli in 2018 for nearly £50million. The Italian has gone on to become one of the top midfielders in the world, winning the European Championships and the Champions League last season, as well as being recognised in the Ballon d'Or.
Now, amid their interest, Tuttomercatoweb reports that the Turin club will make an offer to temp Chelsea into a deal. In any discussion, Juventus are willing to offer France international midfielder Adrien Rabiot as part of a swap deal.
Rabiot, 26, has been in and out of the team under Massimiliano Allegri this season, making 24 Serie A appearances this season. He joined the club on a free transfer from PSG in 2019 and has a deal until 2023, but will be free to leave the club.
Whether Thomas Tuchel would want to sign Rabiot next season or look for another midfielder remains to be seen, but it could be a big summer ahead for the German coach.
