Juventus join Thomas Partey transfer race amid Arsenal's shock £15m valuation

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has approved a potential transfer to Juventus, according to recent reports.

The Ghana international endured a poor end to the 2022/23 campaign, with his form dropping off before he was eventually replaced by Jorginho in Mikel Arteta's starting lineup. Since then, speculation has surrounded his future at the Emirates Stadium.

A number of Saudi Arabian clubs are said to be keen to prise the 30-year-old away from north London in a move that could cost as much as £34million. But now Sky Sport Italia have reported that Partey's entourage have reached an agreement with Serie A giants Juventus regarding personal terms.

It is claimed that Massimiliano Allegri's side believe a fee of between €18-20million (£15-17million) could be enough to sign him this summer, considerably less than the aforementioned reports linking him with a move to Saudi sides. Partey's current contract with the Gunners expires in the summer of 2025.

When discussing the former Atletico Madrid star's future with Arsenal, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed that there were no discussions for the talented midfielder to sign a new deal in north London. Writing on Twitter, Romano said: "Understand Saudi clubs are prepared to pay €40m in instalments to Arsenal for Thomas Partey.

"He’s a concrete option for Saudi - his exit is possible as revealed on Sunday. No decision yet on player side.

"He also has approaches from Europe. No new deal talks at #AFC."

Who should Arsenal keep or sell this summer...?
