Juventus hoping to land Arsenal double transfer blow with £36m star and Gunners target eyed

Thomas Partey has started to find his best form at Arsenal, having struggled to settle into the side after his £45million move from Atletico Madrid in 2020.

The Ghanaian’s impressive performances earned him the February Player of the Month for the Gunners, capping off an impressive run.

It comes as little surprise that his uptake in displays has reflected in Mikel Arteta’s men picking up results, becoming one of the form sides with four wins and one draw in their last five league fixtures.

All in all, the Spaniard has guided Arsenal to fourth in the Premier League, with several games in hand on the sides around them that could see them take control of the final Champions League place.

Arteta revealed that he has changed this slightly to help Partey, who has started to flourish, and said he is in a good place currently.

He said: "We are trying to adapt the game a little bit.

"Some of the things we are doing is to try and adapt the game for him to be able to be more decisive, to create more space for him."

He added later: "[Partey] needed to adapt to a completely different game model than he was used to and now I think he is in a really good place."

The 28-year-old’s form has stood out at times and has even led to some transfer interest.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are eyeing a potential move for Partey in the summer as they try to rework their own midfield.

The report claims that a high valuation has been set by the Gunners for the midfielder and his current contract, which runs until 2025, means that it could be tough for the Serie A side to prise him away from the Emirates Stadium.

Transfermarkt currently value the midfielder at £36million, though it's extremely unlikely Arsenal would be willing to sanction a sale for that amount after his £45million move from Atletico Madrid.

That's not all that the Bianconeri are doing to potentially meddle with Arsenal, as the report also claims they are keen on signing Lille midfielder Renato Sanches.

The Portuguese international has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners in the summer, with numbers in the central areas currently light in the squad.

It wouldn’t be the first case of the Serie A side battling it out with Arsenal for a transfer target, with the side beating them to the signing of striker Dusan Vlahovic in January.

It could represent a huge double blow if both Partey and Sanches make the move, with the Gunners needing to reinforce their midfield in the summer.
