Justin Timberlake's License Suspended After DWI Arrest In Sag Harbor

Justin Timberlake’s license was suspended following a hearing for his DWI arrest in Sag Harbor, NY. The pop star, 43, virtually attended the hearing from Antwerp, Belgium, where he is on tour. Timberlake pleaded not guilty and his lawyer received a warning from the judge for remarks made about the arrest.

Attorney Edward Burke Jr. claimed Timberlake was not intoxicated at the time of his arrest and criticized the police for alleged mistakes in the case. The judge threatened Burke with a gag order for speaking to the press.

Timberlake has another court appearance scheduled on Aug. 9 and may be required to attend a future date in September. His driving privileges have been suspended indefinitely, typically a six-month revocation under New York law for a DWI offender.

The suspension order was executed because Timberlake refused a breathalyzer test during his arrest on June 18. He was pulled over for allegedly running a stop sign and swerving between lanes, claiming to have had only one martini earlier that night.

Timberlake's mugshot showed bloodshot and glassy eyes, as mentioned in the police report. At a concert in Chicago, he addressed the situation, saying, “I know I’m hard to love sometimes but you keep loving me right back.” Timberlake has not commented following his latest court hearing.
