Back in 2019, Justin Rose signed a 10-club deal with Honma whilst World No.1, but the partnership came to an end the following year. Of course, going back further, we’d become used to seeing the Englishman play TaylorMade, a brand he enjoyed working with for many years.
These days, Rose is a free agent and has used multiple manufacturers throughout. However, right now, it seems that the Englishman has opted for Titleist gear, with Rose using it in the majority of his golf bag. Here, we take a look at the set-up he is currently using...
Driver
What Driver Does Justin Rose Use?
Previously, Rose has experimented with the TaylorMade M3, SIM2, Titleist TSi3 and Ping G425 Max, with the Major winner then opting for the Titleist TSR3 driver. Now though, mid-way through 2024, he is using the GT3 driver from Titleist with a Project X HZRDUS Black 60 TX shaft.
Fairway Woods
What Fairway Wood Does Justin Rose Use?
Rose knows TaylorMade well, having been an ambassador for the brand for so many years. Therefore, it’s no great surprise to see him with a couple of the company’s fairways in his bag.
Currently, Rose has two TaylorMade M6 fairway woods, which are a 15° three wood and an 18° five wood, both of which have the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 80 TX shaft. Released in 2019, they are the oldest clubs in his bag.
Irons
What Irons Does Justin Rose Use?
When it comes to irons, Rose has experimented with various brands like Cobra and Ping, with Rose now using Titleist for 2024. As of writing, he has a Titleist T200 2-iron with a Project X Hzrdus Smoke Black Shaft, whilst the rest of his set-up includes the Titleist T100 and MB 620 from 3-iron to pitching wedge.
Wedges
What Wedges Does Justin Rose Use?
Judging by his bag at the start of the year, Rose appears to have five different wedges; clearly he doesn't put all five in the bag for a tournament, most likely three from the following: Titleist Vokey SM9, 48°, 52°, 56°.
He also previously used a Cleveland RTX ZipCore Tour Rack in 60° and WedgeWorks 60°. The 48° Vokey has a KBS Tour 125 S+ shaft, and we believe that the others are fitted with a KBS Hi-Rev 135 X shaft.
Putter
What Putter Does Justin Rose Use?
Rose did have the Axis1 Rose putter in the bag for some time but, midway through 2024, he has changed to a Tour version of the Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5, which is one of the best Scotty Cameron putters on the market.
Although not a lot is known about the Phantom X 5, we do know that it is a near-face balanced model that is constructed of a precision milled 303 stainless steel face. What's more, there is also an aluminum sole plate and stainless steel sole weights, which puts it amongst the best mallet putters that money can buy.
Ball
What Ball Does Justin Rose Use?
Having used the TaylorMade TP5 for many years, Rose switched to the Titleist Pro V1 Left Dot, which Titleist says is "designed for players seeking a more penetrating trajectory with lower long-game spin than Pro V1 but with comparable greenside control and soft feel."
We believe he has the number 99 stamped on them, with the Englishman previously stating in a video from 2018 that “Kate’s [his wife] lucky number is nine and when I got married, I figured double the luck, 99.”
Apparel/Shoes
What Shoes Does Justin Rose Wear?
At the start of the year in Hawaii, Rose was wearing Nike Air Jordan Low 1 G shoes, a stand-out casual spikeless golf shoe that any sneaker fan should have in their locker. The grip and comfort surprised us out of the box and, while it won't win any competitions for support, this is an ideal golf shoe for a casual round.
Clothing-wise, we don't believe Rose has put pen to paper to make any apparel partnership official, but he does wear Peter Millar, a luxurious brand that crafts some of the best golf polo shirts and other outerwear items on the market.
