Wide receivers are known for being confident, and they love the history of the game of football. Whether in the NFL or in college, they have always been the most confident players on the field every time they line up.
Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson cemented that idea when speaking to Kay Adams on Wednesday.
While appearing on Up and Adams, the Vikings star receiver made a bold claim to anyone who may be doubting him following his big contract extension this year.
“I’m glad that I am (the highest paid wide receiver). . .off the stuff I’ve done, the yardage, the records I’ve broken, it’s better than anyone has ever done in the history of the game.”
Jefferson is off to a hot start in his career, statistically. He with just 783 receiver yards in 2024, Jefferson could leap from eighth all-time in Vikings history to fourth. From there, he will have his work cut out for him but plenty of time to accumulate more.
Not to mention, winning some Super Bowls and major playoff matchups will go a long way, too, in cementing his legacy.
