Justin Jefferson’s Vikings return is a huge relief for fantasy managers who need him for the playoffs

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson should return to action after his team’s Sunday bye week after being activated off of injured reserve on Tuesday.

This likely comes as a huge sigh of relief for his fantasy football managers.

However, uncertainty at the Vikings’ quarterback position has bubbled up after Joshua Dobbs’ four-interception performance against the Chicago Bears on Monday night.

Minnesota head coach Kevin O’Connell said he will evaluate the quarterback role during the team’s bye week, which could mean any of Dobbs, Nick Mullens or Jaren Hall could be starting for the team when it plays the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Dec. 10.

Even if the Vikings don’t have a solid quarterback plan in place right now, Jefferson should still provide a good boost to fantasy teams that desperately need better production from their wide receivers on the roster.

Jefferson was dominating before his injury, and he should still be a very good option to fill a spot in your lineup even if he’s not catching passes from Kirk Cousins, who is on injured reserve with a season-ending Achilles injury.

We’ll see who is throwing Jefferson when he makes his expected return to the field next month, and if he’s able to help your fantasy team finish the regular season strong and make a real push in the playoffs.
