Justin Fields Jerseys Outsell Rodgers Jerseys in Wisconsin

Lids released numbers for the most sold NFL jerseys from each state this season.

While most states saw the most sales from their home teams’ players, such as Patrick Mahomes leading Missouri or Justin Jefferson leading Minnesota, there was one state that left people puzzled.

Wisconsin’s most sold jersey from the 2022 season was not a Packers player, though Lids sold the most jerseys from this team overall in the state. Instead of buying quarterback Aaron Rodgers jerseys—or those of another player on Green Bay—the most, Wisconsin fans bought the jersey of Bears quarterback Justin Fields more than any other player.

Who would’ve thought fans in Wisconsin would seek to buy the Packers’ rival quarterback’s jersey?

To be fair, Fields did have a record season in 2022 as he became just the third quarterback in history to rush over 1,000 yards, finishing with 1,143. He was just 64 yards short of Lamar Jackson’s single-season record at the position.

Fields was just one of four quarterbacks to lead sales in three states. The quarterback led the sales in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

The Bears, though, had an extremely underwhelming season, finishing at 3–14 and earning the No. 1 2023 NFL draft pick. The Packers destroyed their rivals in both games last season, prompting Rodgers to continue his “I own you” comments towards the franchise.

But, Rodgers may not be sporting the green and yellow next season as trade rumors continue to circulate. Maybe Packers fans were ready to move on, too.
