The Chicago Bears still have a couple of weeks before they report for training camp, but quarterback Justin Fields is already back in the swing of things.
Fields is holding an offseason workout with Bears teammates down in South Florida, and Simeon Kelley shared some highlights of Fields and wide receivers Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool putting some work in.
Mooney missed the offseason program as he rehabbed from a broken ankle suffered last November. All indications are Mooney will be good for training camp, and it’s good to see Mooney running routes again.
Claypool missed most of the offseason program with a soft tissue injury, but he’s also expected to be ready for training camp.
Among the other players in attendance, as confirmed by Kelley, include wide receivers DJ Moore, Tyler Scott, Equanimeous St. Brown, Nsimba Webster, Daurice Fountain, tight end Cole Kmet and quarterbacks PJ Walker and Nathan Peterman.

Fields is entering a pivotal third season where he’s expected to take a step forward in the passing game. The Bears built around him this offseason, including shoring up the offensive line and bringing in new weapons, including a bonafide No. 1 wideout in Moore.
All eyes will be on Fields and the offense when the Bears kick off training camp on July 26 at Halas Hall.
