Justin and Hailey Bieber recently adopted a pair of $35,000 Savannah cats. Justin announced the news on his Instagram account and revealed their names were Tuna and Sushi, also sharing that he had set up an Instagram account specifically for them.
The cats are a rare breed that are part Serval cat and domestic cat, which Bieber purchased through the breeder Select Exotics in Illinois, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Hollywood Reporter also claimed that the Biebers’ new arrivals were more Serval than domestic cat. Savannah cats are illegal in many parts of the United States, however California and South California allow people to keep them as pets.
The cats’ Instagram @kittysushisandtuna has already blown up and made the pair instant feline influencers.
Right now, the kittens have 122,000 Instagram followers and counting. According to the account's bio, Justin Bieber is control of the kittens’ account which features a Hello Kitty logo and the word ‘DREW’ in place of a mouth - a reference to Justin’s street wear brand Drew House.
Justin adopted the kittens earlier this summer, revealing them for the first time on his personal Instagram in mid-September.
In his most recent Sushi and Tuna post, he also teased that he would “send my millionth follower drew gear”.
In other pictures, Justin can be seen resting with Sushi on a couch as he plays on a phone.
Other pictures also show what the pair were like as kittens, with one showing them crammed into a bed together.
Hailey, who recently married Justin for the second time in a South Carolina wedding, is also enamoured with their cats. The couple already owns a couple of dogs, including Esther and Oscar who were filmed previously by Justin interacting with the cats.
Hailey shared a picture one of the cats snuggled up against Oscar on her Instagram stories yesterday.
Justin has previously called himself a “crazy cat man’” and besides, the cats, he also dropped a teaser for an upcoming Dan & Shay collaboration set to drop tomorrow.
