'Justice!' - Manchester United fans celebrate as VAR rules out late Leicester City winner

Manchester United fans rejoiced at the VAR decision to rule out James Maddison's potential winning goal for Leicester City.

The playmaker thumped the ball past David de Gea at the near post for what at first appeared to be a memorable winner at Old Trafford. However, referee Andre Marriner - after consulting the pitchside monitor - decided Kelechi Iheanacho had fouled Raphael Varane in the build-up and disallowed the goal.

It was a moment of relief for United and fans late on amid an otherwise hugely frustrating display. Two more dropped points mean Tottenham and Arsenal can on Sunday and Monday open up a bigger gap in the race for fourth spot.

United supporters took great pleasure in VAR working in their favour and wasted no time in thanking the technology. Here is how they reacted on Twitter.

Former Manchester City striker Iheanache opened the scoring as he ghosted in behind Alex Telles to head a fine Maddison cross beyond De Gea. Minutes later, Fred latched onto Bruno Fernandes' spilt effort to beat Kasper Schmeichel from close range to share the spoils.
