A restaurant has responded after a new mum named her baby after her favourite dish.
Taking to Facebook The Captain's Table in Newtownabbey shared a picture of the newborn and a note from a regular customer explaining the name. The baby was named Pakora and the note showed an order of a chicken pakora burrito, a regular chicken pakora and a chicken pakora melt.
The customer wrote: "My wife has just called our new born daughter Pakora after her fav dish from The Captain's Table... Thought you'd like to know."

The restaurant went on to share both images as they captioned it: "Now that IS a first!.... Welcome to the word Pakora. We can't wait to meet you xx".
Followers of the page thought it was hilarious and posted pictures of their own kids pretending that they too had unusual names. Others gave their opinions on the situation.
Jamie said: "People go to some lengths these days for a freebie." Kennedy said: "That calls for a free order."
Amy said: "That name might be ok on a cat or dog but it’s dreadful on a human." Meanwhile, Teresa said: "My favourite things to eat during my two pregnancies were banana popsicles and watermelon. Thank God I used the sense I was born with and didn't name my kids after them."
