The Liverpool City Region logged just more than 3,000 positive covid tests in the last seven days.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, the Liverpool City Region logged 3,091 cases in the week ending April 22. That's 1,176 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.

It meant that the week-on-week percentage change figure in the city region fell by 28%.
Week-on-week percentage change figures fell across the individual areas of the city region. The falls were: 33% in Knowsley; 26% in Liverpool; 32% in Halton; 30% in St Helens; 29% in Sefton; and, 23% in Wirral.
In England overall, the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 32% in the week ending April 22.
West Lancs, Warrington and Cheshire West and Chester all logged drops in infections.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 857 cases in the week ending April 22, which is 298 fewer cases than the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 26%. The latest infection rate was 171.2 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 718 cases in the week ending April 22, which is 219 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 23%. The latest infection rate was 221.4 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 252 positive tests over the last week - that's 121 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 32% in Halton in the week ending April 22. The latest infection rate is 194.2 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 351 cases in the week ending April 22, which is 151 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in St Helens is 193.8 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 30%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 271 cases in the week ending April 22, which is 131 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 177.8 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 33%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 642 cases in the week ending April 22, which is a 256 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate is 232.7 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases decreased by 29% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 3,091 positive tests over in the week ending April 22, which is 1,176 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change decreased by 28%. The latest infection rate is 181.53 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 476 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending April 22, which is 211 fewer cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure decreased by 31%. There was an infection rate of 227.32 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 882 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending April 22, which is 335 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate is 256.53 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage decreased by 28% in cases.
West Lancs
There were 246 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending April 22, which is 103 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate in West Lancs is 214.85 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage decreased by 30% in cases.
England
In the week ending April 22, England recorded 116,161 coronavirus cases, which is 54,212 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. The week-on-week percentage decreased by 32% in England. There was an infection rate of 205.41 per 100,000 people.
