Just Like Heaven Festival: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT, M83 top the bill in Pasadena

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Goldenvoice’s Just Like Heaven Festival, a single-day indie-rock and electro dance event, will return for its third edition at Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena on May 13.

Festival producers revealed that Yeah Yeah Yeahs will headline along with MGMT, which will perform its 2007 debut album “Oracular Spectacular” in full for the first time, as well as Future Islands, M83, Empire of the Sun, Hot Chip, Caribou, Fever Ray, The Bravery, Peaches, Ladytron, STRFKR, Metronomy, The Faint, Azealia Banks, The Sounds and Cults. The bill also includes a performance by the recently reunited New York band The Walkmen.

Chris Black and Jason Stewart of the “How Long Gone” podcast will also host a live taping of the popular fashion, music and pop culture podcast on-site and Cinespace DJs will be spinning throughout the day as well.

Tickets for Just Like Heaven start at $149 for general admission; $369 for VIP and $649 for Clubhouse passes (for those 21-and-older only). All options go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at justlikeheavenfest.com.

Just Like Heaven made its debut in 2019 at Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach with Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT and Beach House. The festival moved to Pasadena for its second edition, but was postponed for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It returned in 2022 and settled into its new home at Brookside at the Rose Bowl with The Shins, Bloc Party, The Hives, Modest Mouse, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, M.I.A. and more.
