Just Eat's AI assistant 'Jude' helps the nation get behind Bellingham

Just Eat has introduced its new AI assistant, ‘Jude’, as it asks fans to show support to England player Jude Bellingham.

Ahead of England’s Euros quarterfinal match with Switzerland on Saturday, July 6, Just Eat has announced the introduction of hundreds of free pre-game meals and groceries that can be redeemed via the AI Assistant found in the latest version of the Just Eat app.

Celebrating Bellingham’s spectacular contribution to keeping England’s dreams alive, and to help keep the momentum of support ahead of Saturday, fans will be provided with codes to spend with any Just Eat partner., from sausage rolls and vindaloos to grocery deliveries.

Claire Pointon, UK and Ireland managing director at Just Eat, said, "We wanted to do something special for our customers and fellow football fans during this nail-biting tournament and are excited to be able to introduce them to ‘Jude’.

"Renaming our AI assistant after the star of the Euros so far is our way of showing support for the team and delivering fans a little extra joy as they watch on from home."

How to use the ‘Jude’ AI assistant

Starting today (Friday, July 5), fans who interact with the Just Eat AI assistant by typing “Hey Jude” will be responded to with a pithy take on the usual lyrics:

“I’ll take a bad game and make it better, remember, to order ahead of the start, then you can sit, and watch Jude go get ‘em, get em, get em!”.

In an homage to the famous Beatles song which has quickly become the fan-nominated national anthem, Just Eat is right behind Bellingham and the England UEFA Euro 2024 team.

And while the promise of delivering it home can only be left in the hands of Southgate’s team, Just Eat will be putting it on a plate for fans and delivering joy no matter the outcome of the match. As part of Jude’s response, a code worth £19.66 will be provided.

Fans have until Sunday (July 14) to strike up conversation with Jude by clicking on the ‘sparkle’ icon in the app. With a limited number of codes available, they will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis and can be used towards orders from any Just Eat partner on the site or app.

To redeem, all you need to do is sign in on the desktop version of the website and click Account Credit, then enter the code in the box provided.

The code must be added to your account by July 14 and is a one-time use only. Credit does not apply to delivery fees and service charges.

For pre-match meals, and everything else, order directly through the Just Eat app, or online.
