Jurors have begun their deliberations in the trial of three people accused of murdering a doctor in a Cardiff park.
A court in south Wales heard closing cases from both prosecution and defence counsel today in the trial of three people accused of killing dad of two Dr Gary Jenkins.
Prosecutors said the attack in Bute Park on July 20, which ultimately led to the death of Dr Jenkin’s a few weeks later, saw him "beaten, robbed, tortured, and left for dead".

Jason Edwards, 25, originally from Liverpool, Lee William Strickland, 36, and a 17-year-old girl who cannot be named for legal reasons, all deny murdering him.
Each of the three has already admitted charges of manslaughter, robbery of a bag, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Yesterday, it was confirmed none of the three defendants would give evidence to Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court in their defence.
The trial has heard that Dr Jenkins was a bisexual man who had a habit of attending Bute Park in Cardiff at night looking for "sexual contact with like-minded men".
The prosecution, in its opening, alleged the defendants "pretended they were interested in sexual encounters" before going in search for a vulnerable gay man to attack.
Dr Jenkins died after sustaining blunt force head trauma.
All three defendants have admitted manslaughter but deny murder.
In his legal directions to the jury, Judge Daniel Williams said the "sole issue" in the case was whether the defendants "had intended to cause serious harm to Gary Jenkins".
