Jurrien Timber has delivered a message to fellow Netherlands starlet Tyrell Malacia after Manchester United made him their first signing of the summer transfer window. Malacia, 22, has signed for an initial €15million and will join up with his new teammates in time for the club's pre-season tour.
Erik ten Hag identified Malacia as one of his main targets after being appointed manager and that deal was officially confirmed on Tuesday. United have also agreed a move for Christian Eriksen and remain in talks with Barcelona player Frenkie de Jong plus Argentine centre-back Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.
Other recruits are set to be welcomed in as part of a much-needed rebuild, but Malacia will first enjoy his moment in the limelight as he prepares to compete with Luke Shaw for a place at left-back. His transfer from Feyenoord has scope to rise by a further €2million in add-ons.

After leaving Amsterdam for Old Trafford at the end of last season, with a third Eredivisie title in the bag, manager Ten Hag was tasked with identifying and targets. At first, the Dutchman set his sights on Timber - but that would-be swoop from Ajax has since fallen by the wayside.
Eriksen, De Jong and Martinez remain on the radar, while United also hold an interest in Brazil forward Antony after he formed a key part of the Ajax line-up under Ten Hag last season. Pushes to sign those players follow a number of high-profile departures including Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard.
Having put pen to paper on a €15million switch, Malacia took Instagram to send a message to 278,000 followers. It read: "An incredible feeling to sign for Manchester United. Let's enjoy this moment before it's time to focus on the future."
His post was liked by Timber and other famous figures. In addition to that, Timber added two heart eyes emojis as if to provide his own stamp of approval.
