Jurrien Timber agent 'spotted at Manchester United offices' and more transfer rumours

Speculation that Jurrien Timber might sign for Manchester United during the summer transfer window has fuelled amid reports his agent was spotted the club's London office. Timber, 20, has long-since been backed for a move to one of the marquee European divisions.

Of course, the player is well known to United manager Erik ten Hag and played 43 matches in all competitions last season with Ajax. Newly-appointed Ten Hag won three Eredivisie titles across four years in Amsterdam and, due to his success there, has been tipped to come calling for his now former squad members.

Among those in-demand targets are Netherlands starlet, Timber, as United consider him or Villarreal defender Pau Torres this summer. Key figures in the Old Trafford boardroom have consulted Ten Hag over Torres and he can now weigh the Spaniard up against a prospect that he knows well.

United will also target at least one central midfield recruit and a versatile attacking option as part of their summer rebuild under Ten Hag. According to Dutch publication De Telegraaf, a deal to bring Timber in now at an 'advanced' stage and his agent was spotted at United's office in London last week.

That comes after his agency, Forza Sports Group, dropped their own hint around the same time.

Elsewhere, reports suggesting Crystal Palace will seek to re-sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka have been doubled up with a proposed follow up move for Donny van de Beek. Three years after United splashed out £50million on Wan-Bissaka they are willing to let him go this summer.

A fee around the £25million mark has been mooted. However, while Van de Beek is set to welcome former coach, Ten Hag, to Old Trafford, a further transfer could be on the cards. Van de Beek was seldom used by three managers in what has been a difficult two-year spell for him in the Premier League.

United sanctioned a loan deal to Everton in January and Van de Beek is widely expected to be offered a chance to shine and get his Old Trafford career back on track. According to transfer insider Dean Jones, though, Palace will set their sights on a rather ambitious double swoop.
