Jurgen Klopp sends three-word Champions League warning to Chelsea, Tottenham and Man City

Jurgen Klopp has already urged Liverpool fans to plan trips to Istanbul next season after they lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Los Blancos defeated the Reds 1-0 as they went on to secure a surprise result against England's domestic cup double-winning side. Klopp watched in agony as Real Madrid keeper Thibaut Courtois produced a Player of the Match performance to prevent Liverpool from breaking through in Paris.

Vinicius Junior scored the only goal of the game in a tightly contested encounter as the Reds went on to lose their second of three Champions League finals in the past five years. Nevertheless, Klopp has insisted that his fans should book their tickets for next season's competition, in what is a stark warning to other opponents, including Premier League rivals Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City.

Speaking to BT Sport after the game he said: "It's not bad to get to the final, it's already kind of a success. I have a strong feeling we come again. That's how it is, because the boys are really competitive. We will have an outstanding group again next year. Where’s the final next year? Istanbul? Book your hotel."

The Reds had a total of 24 shots, but their dominance came to nothing as Courtois made a handful of world class saves to secure a record 14th title for Madrid. Klopp and the players were understandably hurt, as he added: "The dressing room, nobody feels a great season at the moment.

"It was almost impossible. We played a good game, not a perfect game. The opponent set up with a deep formation, it was tricky. The situation became dangerous. Courtois made top saves. We conceded a goal after a throw-in."
