Jurgen Klopp insists he is not concerned by Darwin Nunez missing chances, insisting the £64m striker will be a huge success at Liverpool.
The Uruguay international turned in an all-action performance at Aston Villa on Boxing Day as the Reds returned to Premier League duties after a six-week break with a 3-1 win.
Goals from Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Stefan Bajectic sealed the points in Birmingham, despite Ollie Watkins making it 2-1 in the second period. Nunez created an assist for teenager Bajcetic, but was denied a handful of times by Villa goalkeeper Robin Olsen before a second-half chance saw him fire wide when well placed.

The former Benfica striker now has nine goals in 20 appearances since his move from Portugal in June and Klopp has been delighted with the efforts of his big-money summer signing.
The Reds boss says he is not concerned by seeing Nunez spurn presentable chances as he backed the forward to be a hit at Anfield in the long term.
"Different things [happen], we are all human beings," Klopp said. "It is not like he can close his eyes and then all of a sudden everything will go in. Sometimes you have that from time to time but he hasn't had that yet. I am not only in the business since yesterday and I've had plenty of strikers in my time. I know at the start, scoring is really not important in the beginning.
"There are so many other things that are much more important because we look back at strikers and you cannot imagine some of the chances strikers missed who I worked with. But it about being calm, completely calm but what I really love, which is so special, is for the third goal, pretty everyone in this room after the game he had - where he just missed the last touch to score a goal - we all would have just hammered the ball and tried to force it but he passed the ball to Stefan to score the third goal and that makes him really special."
Klopp added: "The work rate he puts in, the spaces he creates, he is unstoppable in the moment when we keep the ball and pass at the right moment, there's really no defender who can catch up speed-wise. So I know all the stories around and that is all fine, we are completely calm and he played an exceptional game tonight. We won 3-1 and that is all that counts.
"Darwin played an incredible game. He will score goals, I have no doubt about that. He gives us so much more than that. He will score. Everything will be fine. This game by Darwin was exceptional."
