Jurgen Klopp was seen grinning from ear to ear after Luis Diaz put Liverpool's Champions League clash with Benfica beyond doubt - and then celebrated in front of the home fans.
Liverpool dominated the first half of their Champions League quarter-final clash at the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica on Tuesday night, with centre-back Ibrahima Konate opening the scoring for the Reds.
Sadio Mane doubled the advantage just after the halfway mark, with Liverpool seemingly cruising into the semi-final, despite the fact this tie will be played over two legs. But Benfica returned a different team after the half-time break.
And following a prolonged period of pressure, 22-year-old Uruguayan Darwin Nunez halved the deficit with Benfica very much on the front foot and pushing for an equaliser as their home fans looked on.
Benfica appeared the more likely side to score the fourth goal of the night, but it was Diaz who had the final say, making it three to Liverpool and putting the first leg to bed.
Upon hitting the back of the net, Diaz sprinted over to the home fans and celebrated in front of them. The forward, who Liverpool signed from Benfica's rivals Porto, had been booed throughout the night.
As expected, the Benfica supporters weren't best pleased with Diaz's celebration as Roberto Firmino could be seen putting a hand up to them in an apparent apology. BT Sport cameras then picked out Klopp standing in the Liverpool dugout smiling.
