Liverpool are yet to bring in any new faces this month despite the January transfer window being open for business and star men Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah currently away taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has tended to struggle for success in the winter window, with only three of the eight players he's ever signed in January still at the club.
It comes as the Reds once again displayed their successful defensive trait in the Premier League win over Brentford, despite Jamie Carragher's confusion.
And ex-Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has made his Carabao Cup prediction – and it's bad news for the Reds.
Here are Mirror Football's latest Liverpool headlines.

Ferdinand's Carabao Cup prediction
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand clearly doesn't rate Liverpool's chances of lifting the Carabao Cup this season.
The Reds face-off against Arsenal in the semi-final at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night hoping to book their place in the final.
But Ferdinand has raised doubts whether either side will win the competition ahead of their crunch game.
Defensive trait continues
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are head and shoulders above their Premier League rivals in one department – catching their opponents offside.
In fact, they've caught opponents offside so often this season that their stats are almost double their nearest rivals Manchester City.
The trait was on display yet again during the Reds' 3-0 win over Brentford on Sunday as the Bees were flagged offside an impressive seven times.
But Liverpool implement their offside trap a little differently – despite it leaving club legend Jamie Carragher slightly confused.
Klopp's January transfers rated
Jurgen Klopp has only signed eight players in the January transfer window since his appointment at Anfield in October 2015.
Only one of those has been an undoubted success, with Virgil van Dijk continuing to prove he is one of the best defenders ever to play for the club.
But that leaves seven other questionable signings who have yet to prove their time at the club can be classed as an overwhelming success, and Mirror Football has run the rule over all of them.
