Jurgen Klopp reveals 'moment of the game' in Liverpool's 4-0 win over Manchester United

Jurgen Klopp has shared his support for Cristiano Ronaldo and his family after the passing of the Manchester United’s newborn son earlier this week.

The Portuguese sat out Liverpool’s 4-0 win over the Red Devils on Tuesday night as goals from Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and a Mohamed Salah brace sent the Reds to the top of the league.

But despite his side’s performance, Klopp revealed his highlight of the game was both sets of supporters putting rivalries aside to stand and applaud in support of Ronaldo and in memory of his son in the seventh minute at Anfield.

“My moment of the game, even when it was a great result, was the seventh minute when our people showed pure class and the whole stadium together showed pure class in the moment,” the German told reporters.

“Everybody knew since yesterday, since I heard first time about it. So many things are much more important in life than football and obviously we really feel for Cristiano and his family. So that was my moment of the game.”
