Jurgen Klopp reveals Liverpool players sang his new song on team bus but changed one word

Jurgen Klopp admitted he can't get his new song out of his head after it was ringing around Wembley and Anfield during the wins over Manchester City and Manchester United.

The new chant really took hold with Liverpool fans during the FA Cup semi-final win over City at Wembley and is sung to the tune of 1964 Beatles hit 'I Feel Fine'. It could be heard all over Anfield during Tuesday's 4-0 hammering of United.

It's not just Klopp who loves the new song as he revealed the players have taken to singing it themselves - even changing the lyrics on the team bus from 'Jurgen' to 'Joel' in honour of Joel Matip.

Liverpool fans are known for their creativity where songs are concerned and if one man is deserving of his own tune on the Kop then it is Klopp. The German boss is loved at Anfield and it trying to guide his side to a first ever quadruple.

In an interview with former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher before the Reds host Everton in the Merseyside derby, Klopp admitted how he is 'honoured' by the new song.

He said on Sky Sports: "I love the song, I really love it. If my name is in it, I'm not 100% sure [about how much a song should be sung], but I love the song...I even have it in my ear, I can't get it out. They sing it a little bit too often, so maybe I don't like this kind of attention too much!"

Klopp's wife was in the away end at the Etihad Stadium when Liverpool drew 2-2 there on Sunday, April 10 and he joked she was singing the song with the Reds fans.

"Definitely! My boys love it as well. It's cool, it's an honour," Klopp added. "It's a Beatles song as well. The players even sang it on the bus, but they put in Joel Matip. 'I'm so glad that Joel is a red'.

"I'm really glad that Joel is a red as well! It's a good one and after a while there will be other songs. I don't understand the lyrics all of the time...."

The lyrics are as follows:

"Jurgen said to me you know,
We’ll win the Premier League you know,
He said so,
I’m in love with him and I feel fine…

"I’m so glad, that Jurgen is a Red,
I’m so glad, he delivered what he said"
