Manchester City progressed to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup with a 3-2 victory over Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
City started the brighter of the two teams at the Etihad and took the lead within 10 minutes. Kevin De Bruyne found space down the left-hand side to put in a cross for Erling Haaland to fire home.
Liverpool were struggling to find a foothold in the match but were level on 20 minutes against the run of play. Fabio Carvalho side-footed an effort beyond the reach of Stefan Ortega to bring Klopp's side level.

Riyad Mahrez would put City back in front straight after the break with a curling effort but the visitors drew level immediately through Mohamed Salah. However, when Nathan Ake headed home the Blues' third of the night, there was no coming back for Liverpool.
City's reward for beating Liverpool is an away tie at Southampton in the quarter-finals. After a thrilling encounter, here are some moments you may have missed at the Etihad.
Haaland and Klopp embrace
Jurgen Klopp always spends the warm-up watching the opposition by the halfway line. Thursday night was no exception but on this occasion, he received a pleasant greeting.
Haaland ran over to Klopp and the pair shared a laugh, a handshake and a hug before the Norwegian continued his pre-match preparation.
Ederson joins the warm-up
City's Brazilian goalkeeper was not named in the starting XI or among the substitutes last night. Ederson had flight issues as he attempted to return to Manchester for the season's restart, meaning he was unavailable.
However, those in attendance at the Etihad will have seen their goalkeeper warming up with other members of the City squad before the match. Ederson was spotted competing in some of the drills and this is perhaps a sign that he will feature for the Blues against Leeds United.
Unique team announcement
City fans are used to being treated to a spectacle when they visit the Etihad Stadium, especially in the evening. However, not many would have expected the teams to be announced in such a unique style.
Each player's name and number was projected onto the pitch before the round of 16 clash in Manchester.
Wayne Rooney in the stands
A surprise onlooker at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night was former Manchester United and Everton star Wayne Rooney. The ex-England striker is currently the manager of D.C. United but MLS is currently in its close season.
It was surprising to see him watching on given he featured for rivals of both City and Liverpool during his illustrious career.
