Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is in the right frame of mind to face Rangers in the Champions League on Wednesday despite being at the centre of an ongoing FA investigation.
FA chiefs are looking into the incident with Arsenal defender Gabriel at the end of the Gunners' 3-2 win over Liverpool on Sunday, with the Brazilian defender claiming he heard something on the pitch which led to him confronting Henderson.
Referee Michael Oliver informed both managers of the allegation at the time, and after talking to both players the official has presented his report to the FA.
There are suggestions that lip readers could be used to determine just what was said, while players near the incident are also set to be interviewed.
Tensions are believed to have eased between both sets of players after the match, and it isn't yet clear if the FA will take the matter further.
Henderson travelled with the Liverpool squad to Glasgow on Tuesday, and when pressed on whether he would be in the right frame of mind to play, the Reds boss simply replied "Yes."
Liverpool head into the match having won two of their three Champions League group games, including beating Rangers 2-0 at Anfield last week.
Trent Alexander-Arnold opened the scoring on that occasion, but the right-back hasn't made the trip to Scotland after suffering an ankle injury in Sunday's loss at Arsenal.
He is now set to miss the next couple of weeks, with Luis Diaz missing until after the World Cup following his knee problem in the same game, and defender Joel Matip also on the sidelines for the next few weeks.
“Of course, it was, let me say it like this, after the game in the dressing room it was already clear this will be the case [injuries]," said Klopp..
“I thought we were maybe hopefully a little bit lucky with Trent because the ankle didn’t look good, to be honest. Lucho, what is it, six to eight [weeks] or whatever? We will see how long.
“Lucho looks like a quick healer but anyway we have obviously to be careful with that. [It] could have been worse as well, the way he moved after the game.
“And actually, Joel just felt a little bit, but that’s what you do nowadays to make a scan, and then he was out as well.
“Yes, that is not great, but it is the situation and we have to deal with it and we will.”
On Alexander-Arnold he added: “It is always difficult to say. Shorter than a month; two weeks I heard but we have to see if that’s right.
“That is the information I got, I am not sure if I am allowed to say this, to be honest! Because I thought it is longer when I saw him after the game. But I take the two weeks easily. We will see.”
